Our story
Koseli means gift in Nepali. This is ours — to you, and to the artisans who make every piece.

From Kathmandu to Melbourne
A family shop, now online for the first time
Our family has sold handicrafts in Kathmandu for over three decades — first from a tiny shop near Basantapur, then in the heart of Thamel. We grew up among carved windows, brass casters and mask makers, and we learned early that every object has a maker and every maker has a story.
When we moved to Melbourne, we missed those objects — and so did many of the people we met. Koseli started as a few suitcases of gifts for friends. Today it is a small business that works directly with more than thirty artisan families across Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur and Dharan.
We don't buy from middlemen. We visit the workshops, agree fair prices and pay up front, so artisans can keep doing what they do best. When you buy from Koseli, you're not just buying a beautiful thing — you're helping a craft survive.
